The Environmental Health Department of the Nsawam Adoagyiri Municipal Assembly, under the leadership of the Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Philibert Fummey Amenope Selorm, led the observation of National Sanitation Day at Sabon Zongo.
The exercise brought together residents, community leaders, and youth groups who actively participated in cleaning activities aimed at promoting environmental sanitation and preventing sanitation-related diseases. Activities carried out included sweeping of streets, desilting of gutters, and proper disposal of refuse across major streets and public areas within the community.
Addressing residents, the MCE encouraged everyone to make cleanliness a daily responsibility and not limit participation to National Sanitation Day exercises. He emphasized that maintaining a clean environment is essential for health, safety, and overall community well-being, and urged residents to continue taking part in sanitation activities throughout the year.
