The Nsawam Adoagyiri Municipal Assembly, led by the Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Fummey Philibert Amenorpe, over the weekend participated in the March 2026 edition of the National Sanitation Day exercise held at Djankrom.

The exercise brought together sanitation officers, residents, and community members who joined efforts to improve environmental cleanliness and promote healthy living within the municipality.

Activities carried out during the clean-up exercise included clearing weeds, desilting choked gutters, and sweeping the streets to ensure a cleaner and healthier environment for residents.

Addressing participants during the exercise, Hon. Amenorpe, together with the Municipal Environmental Health Officer, advised residents to take sanitation issues seriously and desist from practices that make the environment dirty and unhealthy.

The MCE further encouraged residents to make cleanliness a shared responsibility and called on all and sundry to actively support efforts aimed at maintaining a clean environment across the municipality.

The National Sanitation Day initiative continues to serve as an important platform for promoting environmental awareness and strengthening community participation in sanitation activities within Nsawam Adoagyiri.
