The Municipal Chief Executive for the Nsawam Adoagyiri Municipal Assembly, Hon. Philibert Fummey Amenorpe Selorm, has assured residents that efforts are underway to address the recent waste accumulation and sanitation challenges within the municipality.
According to the MCE, the situation resulted from operational challenges at the Waste Landfill Company, which has temporarily closed its landfill site for nearly two weeks. The closure has disrupted waste disposal services, affecting Nsawam Adoagyiri and other municipalities that rely on the facility.
Hon. Amenorpe acknowledged the inconvenience caused and expressed his sincere apologies to residents. He further assured the public that the Assembly is engaging relevant stakeholders to restore normal waste collection services as soon as possible.
The Assembly remains committed to maintaining a clean and healthy environment and appreciates the patience and cooperation of residents during this period.
