A new canteen and bookshop facility have been commissioned at Akraman Basic School through the support of E&H Quarry Ltd as part of the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives.
The commissioning ceremony was attended by the Municipal Chief Executive for the Nsawam Adoagyiri Municipal Assembly, Hon. Fummey Philibert Amenorpe, alongside officials of E&H Quarry Ltd, community leaders, teachers, students, and other stakeholders.
The newly constructed facilities are expected to improve the welfare of pupils and enhance the teaching and learning environment at the school, contributing to better educational outcomes.
Speaking at the event, Hon. Amenorpe commended E&H Quarry Ltd for its continued commitment to community development and investment in education. He noted that such interventions play a vital role in advancing quality education and supporting academic excellence within the municipality.
He expressed appreciation to the management of E&H Quarry Ltd for their contribution to the educational development of Akraman and encouraged other corporate organizations to support initiatives that positively impact local communities.
The commissioning of the canteen and bookshop marks another significant step towards strengthening educational infrastructure and creating a more conducive learning environment for pupils of Akraman Basic School.
