Two(2) separate (12) classroom blocks has been commissioned for St. Martin’s senior high school in Adoagyiri.
At a short ceremony to hand over the 24 classroom blocks to the school and the community,
the MCE, Hon Isaac Kwadwo Buabeng charged the school authourities to take good care of the property and ensure it is maintained regularly. He said the project seeks to stop the double-track system completely. He urged the students to take advantage of all the opportunities government is putting in place to improve teaching and learning in schools. They should learn hard and eschew all forms of vices that will compromise their future. The MCE announced that a two-story girls dormitory project is currently ongoing on the campus.
The Municipal Director of Education, Mr. Hayford Awuah also entreated the school management to pull resources to maintain this new facility as well as other facilities in the school to ensure it lasts longer and fulfills its purpose. He used the opportunity to advise other heads of institutions in the municipality not to wait for the government for menial maintenances like painting, etc. But rather pull resources together with the communities and PTAs.
The Headmaster of the school, Rev. Fr. Benjamin Ohene expressed appreciation to the government through the Assembly and also the chief and elders of Adoagyiri for ensuring the successful completion of the project. He pledged to maintain the project on a regular basis as well as all other facilities in the school.
In a related development, the school had delivery of a new bus and a pickup donated by the GETFUND
