The Municipal Chief Executive for the Nsawam Adoagyiri Municipal Assembly, Hon. Fummey Philibert Amenorpe, on Wednesday, 18th March, 2026, commissioned and handed over a six-unit classroom block to the Nsawam Prisons M/A Basic School, as well as mechanized borehole facilities to the communities of Fotobi and Akwane Dobro.
The projects form part of the Assembly’s efforts to improve access to quality education and provide clean and safe drinking water to communities within the municipality.
Speaking during the commissioning ceremony, Hon. Amenorpe recalled that during his early days in office as MCE, he embarked on community tours across the municipality to engage residents and understand the major challenges confronting them.
According to him, the visits revealed several infrastructural and social needs, including inadequate educational facilities and limited access to potable water in some communities, which informed his commitment to addressing such concerns promptly.
He noted that the six-unit classroom block would help improve teaching and learning conditions at the Nsawam Prisons M/A Basic School, while the mechanized boreholes at Fotobi and Akwane Dobro would provide residents with access to clean and potable water, thereby promoting good health and hygiene.
Hon. Amenorpe further reaffirmed his commitment to serving the people of Nsawam Adoagyiri through impactful development projects aimed at improving the living conditions of residents.
He added that the Assembly remains focused on resetting and rebuilding the municipality through dedicated leadership and collaborative efforts that will drive growth and sustainable development across all communities.
