Nsawam Adoagyiri Municipal Assembly Supports Persons With Disabilities With Economic Empowerment Items

The Nsawam Adoagyiri Municipal Assembly, through its Department of Social Welfare and Community Development, has distributed various economic empowerment items to Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) within the municipality.

The items, which were procured through allocations from the District Assemblies Common Fund (DACF), included spraying machines, fufu pounding machines, container stalls, baking ovens, and other livelihood support equipment aimed at enhancing the economic independence of beneficiaries.

The intervention forms part of the Assembly’s efforts to improve the livelihoods of Persons with Disabilities and promote their active participation in local economic activities.

Addressing beneficiaries during the distribution exercise, the Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Fummey Philibert Amenorpe, reiterated the government’s commitment to the welfare and inclusion of Persons with Disabilities.

He also assured beneficiaries of the government’s continued support and emphasized that Persons with Disabilities would remain an integral part of the development agenda, with their concerns and interests considered in decision-making processes.

Beneficiaries expressed appreciation to the Assembly and the government for the support, describing the items as a significant boost to their economic activities and livelihoods.

The Assembly remains committed to promoting social inclusion and empowering vulnerable groups through sustainable interventions that improve living standards across the municipality.
