The Municipal Chief Executive for the Nsawam Adoagyiri Municipal Assembly, Hon. Fummey Philibert Amenorpe, has handed over 1,600 brand-new desks to St. Martins Senior High School to improve teaching and learning conditions at the school.
The intervention was made possible through the support of the Ghana Education Trust Fund (GETFund) and forms part of ongoing efforts to address infrastructure deficits confronting educational institutions within the municipality.
At a brief ceremony held on the school premises, Hon. Amenorpe emphasized the importance of investing in education, describing it as a critical tool for the development of the municipality and the nation at large.
According to the MCE, the future lies in the hands of the younger generation, making it necessary for stakeholders to prioritize investments that make education accessible, affordable, and of high quality.
He further reaffirmed his commitment to promoting quality education across the municipality through interventions that enhance educational infrastructure and improve the welfare of students.
The MCE also expressed appreciation to GETFund for its continued support towards the development of education in the country, noting that such investments play a vital role in strengthening academic performance and expanding access to quality learning facilities.
The donation of the desks is expected to significantly ease furniture challenges at the school and improve classroom conditions for both students and teachers.
