TOGETHER, WE PLANT FOR A HEALTHIER TOMORROW! NSAWAM ADOAGYIRI MUNICIPAL ASSEMBLY ACTIVELY PARTICIPATES IN GREEN GHANA DAY 2023.

In a remarkable display of environmental consciousness and community participation, the Nsawam Adoagyiri Municipal Assembly actively took part in the nationwide event of Green Ghana Day 2023. Today, on June 9th, the assembly together with the Municipal Chief Executive Hon Isaac Kwadwo Buabeng joined forces with, chiefs, citizens, organizations, and government bodies to plant trees and contribute to a greener and healthier future for the community.

Aligned with the theme “Our Forests, Our Health,” Nsawam Adoagyiri Municipal Assembly recognized the crucial role that forests play in maintaining a balanced ecosystem and preserving public well-being. With the aim to plant 10 million trees in a single day nationwide, the assembly wholeheartedly embraced the ambitious goal and set out to make a tangible impact within its jurisdiction.

Preparations were underway for weeks leading up to the event. Nsawam Adoagyiri Municipal Assembly mobilized its resources, procuring an abundant supply of tree seedlings and necessary tools for the tree planting exercise. Extensive awareness campaigns were conducted in collaboration with local schools, community groups, and residents, highlighting the significance of forest conservation and the importance of individual contributions.

Today, Nsawam Adoagyiri community witnessed a vibrant and enthusiastic gathering of local government officials, community leaders, and dedicated volunteers, all committed to making a difference. Together, they embarked on a mission to plant trees across parks, school compounds, open spaces, and other designated areas throughout the municipality.

The atmosphere was filled with excitement and a shared sense of purpose. Participants together with the MCE Hon. Isaac K. Buabeng, armed with shovels and determination, dug holes, carefully planted tree seedlings, and provided them with the essential nutrients they need to thrive. The tree planting exercise was not only a symbolic act but a concrete step towards mitigating climate change, preventing soil erosion, improving air quality, and creating a habitat for diverse wildlife.

The MCE Hon. Isaac Kwadwo Buabueng of Nsawam Adoagyiri Municipal Assembly emphasized the significance of individual actions in realizing the collective goal of a greener and healthier community. He encouraged residents to take pride in their contributions and foster a long-lasting commitment to the environment.
