The Municipal Chief Executive on Thursday, 9th July 2026, officially commissioned the newly completed Community-based Health Planning and Services (CHPS) compound at Bowkrom, reinforcing the municipality’s commitment to expanding access to quality healthcare.
The new facility is equipped with modern outpatient consulting rooms, a maternity and delivery ward, and residential accommodation for healthcare personnel. It is expected to provide 24-hour primary healthcare services to residents of Bowkrom and surrounding communities, reducing the need to travel long distances for essential medical care.
Speaking at the commissioning ceremony, the Municipal Chief Executive noted that the project reflects the government’s commitment to strengthening primary healthcare and improving the well-being of rural communities. He also called on residents to support healthcare workers and help maintain the facility to ensure it continues to serve the community for years to come.
