As part of the Assembly’s ongoing commitment to improving employee performance and delivering efficient public service, the Human Resource Department of the Nsawam Adoagyiri Municipal Assembly, under the leadership of Mrs. Scholastica A. Awine, has organized a specialized training program for all revenue collectors.
The training focused on effective cash management, revenue mobilization, and strict adherence to government financial regulations. It aimed to sharpen the skills and knowledge of revenue collectors to ensure the responsible handling of public funds and improved compliance with fiscal policies.
Mrs. Awine, in her opening remarks, emphasized the critical role revenue collectors play in the financial health of the Assembly and the delivery of development projects. “Revenue officers are the lifeline of the Assembly’s internally generated funds. Equipping them with the right knowledge and tools is key to accountability, transparency, and service excellence,” she noted.
Participants were taken through best practices in revenue collection, the importance of accurate reporting, ethical conduct, and the legal framework surrounding municipal revenue operations.
The training also provided a platform for collectors to share field experiences, challenges, and suggestions for improving systems.
The Assembly remains committed to building a results-driven workforce and strengthening its internal structures to better serve the needs of the municipality.
