On Wednesday the 9th of February 2022, the Nsawam Adoagyiri Municipal assembly held its end of year annual review meeting on revenue for the year 2021 at the municipal assembly hall. Mr. Antwi Osman, head of the Revenue Department gave the purpose of the gathering by saying it is to review the revenue budget for last year and also to appreciate the revenue collectors for their efforts, he then introduced the dignitaries present at the meeting.
The MCD in a speech expressed his profound gratitude in the work of the revenue collectors and stated that due to their efforts, the assembly was able to exceed its target set for the year 2021 by getting over 100% plus, and that the collectors should ensure to keep up their hard work as every good deed deserves its reward. He also stated that even though the target was exceeded, some of the challenges faced such as misbehavior of some revenue collectors (refusing to submit books for auditing) and disputes on market grounds which could have made the revenue exceed a much higher target.
MFO in his remarks also expressed his gratitude towards the collectors for helping the assembly exceed its target, and for the year 2022 she mentioned that the target set is over 200% plus so all collectors together with the assembly should ensure to act in a dignify way when approaching the rate payers and also ensure to turn in their cash book when completed.
Up on the arrival of the MCE at the meeting, he encouraged everyone to keep up the good work in other to improve the assembly’s revenue he then assured everyone of an incentive to be given for a good work done by collectors
