Hon. Isaac K. Buabeng (MCE) together with some key staff from the municipal assembly, Chiefs, community leaders, Nurses and reps from the Municipal Hospital commissioned a new nurses bungalow at ahwearase- Damang on the 5th of May 2022. This bungalow is to help accommodate health workers posted to the health facility in the community.
The bungalow which is a four bedroom apartment is to contain four (4) occupants and soon be expanded to accommodate more people.
The MCE in his speech called on the people of Ahwearase-Damang to create a peaceful environment for the nurses who would occupy the quarters. He then tasked the director to ensure that those who be lodging at the bungalow should owe it as a responsibility to be on a twenty-four hour call service to the community.
The chief, Nana Barima Tuah Akotiah II thanked the Assembly for putting up the facility and pledged the community’s co-operation in maintaining a good relationship with the nurses.
Mr. Jeremiah Amoafo ( MCD) on his closing remarks urged the Community Health Nurses and Midwives within the zone to do their routine home visits and outreaches to improve the health situations in Ahwearase-Damang and its environs.
