On Wednesday, 28th January 2026, the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) of Nsawam Adoagyiri, Hon. Philibert Fummey Amenope Selorm, joined Dr. Richard Nii Darku Dodoo, Medical Superintendent of the Nsawam Government Hospital, ASP Anthony Marfo, Head of the Motor Traffic and Transport Department (MTTD), Nsawam District Police Command; and other key stakeholders to engage commercial motor riders (okada) on road safety.
The event, themed “Community Engagement & Safety Dialogue”, took place at the Emmanuel Presby Church in Nsawam. It provided a platform for motor riders to understand the importance of safe riding, measures to prevent accidents, and the need for proper documentation to protect and license their operations.
During the session, participants asked questions, shared experiences, and received practical guidance for safer and more responsible riding. The MCE encouraged riders to adhere to traffic rules and prioritize the safety of themselves and the public, emphasizing the Assembly’s commitment to a safer and well-regulated environment.
Stakeholders commended the program as a positive step towards improving road safety and strengthening collaboration between authorities and commercial motor operators in Nsawam Adoagyiri.
