MR. EBENEZER MILLS WINS BEST FARMER IN NAMA

After the 1983-1984 drought and famine that brought unprecedented hunger and starvation in Ghana, the government decided that it needed to reward the efforts of farmers who work tirelessly to feed the nation by instituting a national farmer’s day celebration which is observed at both national regional and district level.

In the 36^th edition at Nsawam Adoagyiri Municipal Assembly, Mr. Ebenezer Mills emerged as the overall winner and took away several items and agricultural inputs as well as a motor tricycle which was donated by Hon. Frank Annor Dompreh the Member of Parliament of Nsawam Adoagyiri constituency. The Member of Parliament despite a heavy downpour gallantly walked through the rain and presented the items to Mr. Mills, the 2020 best farmer.

Mr. Mills also took a sword of honor from the 2019 best farmer who was present to hand over the mantle to the new winner. In his address, Mr. Mills inferred that the downpour was a blessing from the Almighty God to every single farmer present and encourage the general public to venture in agriculture since it was a very rewarding venture in the long term.
