Nsawam Adoagyiri Municipal Assembly Engages Market Queens on Proposed 24-Hour Economy Market

The Nsawam Adoagyiri Municipal Assembly on 18th November 2025 held a stakeholder engagement with market queens as part of efforts to strengthen trade and promote economic growth within the municipality. The meeting took place at the Nsawam Municipal Assembly Hall.

The engagement was attended by the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), Hon. Fummey Philibert Amenorpe (Selorm), the Municipal Coordinating Director, Mr. Jasper Adenyo, the Municipal Finance Head, Madam Agnes Domega, and the Municipal Budget Analyst, Mrs. Antoinette Brakoa Appiah, among other key officials of the Assembly.

Discussions focused on the proposed introduction of a 24-Hour Economy Market model, a major initiative expected to be constructed in the near future. The project is aimed at boosting commercial activities, creating employment opportunities, improving market infrastructure, and enhancing convenience for traders and residents across the municipality.

During the engagement, the market queens shared their views, concerns, and expectations regarding the proposed market development. They welcomed the initiative and expressed optimism about the construction of the new market, while offering practical suggestions to ensure the facility effectively meets the operational needs of traders.

Addressing participants, the Municipal Chief Executive reaffirmed the Assembly’s commitment to inclusive stakeholder consultation and participatory development. He assured the market queens that their inputs would be carefully considered in the planning and implementation of the project, stressing that the 24-Hour Economy Market forms part of broader efforts to promote sustainable local economic development.
