Through his community engagement, the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Nsawam Adoagyiri, Hon. Philibert Fummey Amenorpe, has brought to the attention of the general public two key national initiatives designed to empower the youth and reduce unemployment in the municipality.
These flagship interventions, the Adwumawura Programme and the National Apprenticeship Programme (NAP), are currently open for registration and present a life-changing opportunity for young people in Nsawam Adoagyiri.
The Adwumawura Programme, launched by H.E. John Dramani Mahama, is a youth-focused initiative under the National Entrepreneurship and Innovation Programme (NEIP). It seeks to create and support 10,000 youth-led businesses annually by providing business training, mentorship, seed capital and access to market linkages.
In addition, the National Apprenticeship Programme (NAP), led by the National Youth Authority (NYA), offers free technical and vocational training for young Ghanaians aged 18 to 35 in trades such as tailoring, carpentry, ICT, hospitality, fashion design, agriculture and more. Successful applicants will receive certification, starter tools and startup support to begin their own businesses.
To ensure that no one is left behind, the Nsawam Adoagyiri Municipal Assembly is supporting the registration process locally. Residents who are unable to register online can visit the Assembly for assistance with their application.
