The Nsawam Adoagyiri Municipal Assembly successfully organized a Capacity Building Training as part of its Administrative Week from 14th to 30th January, 2026 at the Municipal Assembly Hall. The programme was organized by the Human Resource Management Department in collaboration with the Administrative Unit, following an initiative introduced by the Municipal Coordinating Director, Mr. Jasper Adenyo, to strengthen staff capacity and promote institutional learning.
The training was designed to ensure that staff are well informed about the functions and operations of the various departments and units within the Assembly. In view of financial constraints that often limit access to external training opportunities, the Administrative Week provided an important platform for internal knowledge sharing, learning, and collaboration among staff.
In his opening remarks, the Municipal Coordinating Director, Mr. Jasper Adenyo, emphasized the importance of continuous capacity development within the Local Government Service. He encouraged staff to actively participate in the sessions, noting that a better understanding of the roles and responsibilities of each department and unit would enhance teamwork, coordination, and service delivery across the Assembly.
A major highlight of the Administrative Week was the participation of all departments and units, each of which made presentations to showcase their respective mandates, core functions, ongoing activities, and challenges. These presentations provided staff with a broader perspective of the Assembly’s operations and strengthened appreciation of how the various departments and units work together to achieve the Assembly’s development objectives.
The sessions were interactive and engaging, allowing participants to ask questions, share experiences, and discuss practical ways to improve interdepartmental collaboration. This approach fostered improved communication, enhanced mutual understanding, and reinforced the importance of teamwork in delivering quality services to the people of Nsawam Adoagyiri.
The Administrative Week Capacity Building Training is expected to contribute positively to staff performance, institutional efficiency, and overall service delivery. The Nsawam Adoagyiri Municipal Assembly remains committed to building the capacity of its workforce as a key step towards effective local governance and sustainable development.
