A road crash involving a long trailer (cement) truck at the Nsawam Mobil has led to a roadblock on the Accra -Kumasi old road leading through Nsawam.

Information available indicates that the driver lost control of the trailer after his brakes failed him and ended up crashing into parked, moving cars with passengers alongside vendors selling within that area. Onlookers rushed to the scene to rescue victims involved in the accident before Officials of the Ghana Police Service and the Ghana National Fire Service moved to the scene, providing the needed assistance to manage the situation.

Currently waiting for official communique from the health service to get the total number of deaths and injured persons.

In the meantime, motorists using the road have been advised to drive with care by using the fire service junction route through the Aburi junction to avoid the massive traffic on the main road.
