The Business Advisory Centre (BAC) of the Nsawam Adoagyiri Municipal Assembly held a sensitization programme on Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise (MSME) classification to help local entrepreneurs understand business categorization and available support systems.
The session, held on 23rd May 2025 at the Municipal Assembly Conference Hall, brought together 59 participants, made up of 50 females and 9 males.
The engagement focused on educating business owners on the criteria for MSME classification and its relevance to business registration, access to funding and participation in government support programmes.
Addressing participants, the Head of the BAC, Mr. Bright Ntim Dei, highlighted the importance of proper MSME classification in shaping policies and supporting business growth. He explained that understanding where a business falls within the MSME structure enables entrepreneurs to position themselves for the right technical and financial assistance.
Mr. Dei further encouraged participants to formalize their businesses and take advantage of available support from the Ghana Enterprises Agency (GEA) and other partners.
Participants described the session as insightful and timely, noting that it provided them with practical knowledge to grow and sustain their enterprises within the formal sector.
The sensitization forms part of ongoing efforts by the Nsawam Adoagyiri BAC to strengthen the capacity of local entrepreneurs and promote sustainable economic development within the Nsawam Adoagyiri Municipality.
