The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) of Nsawam Adoagyiri, Hon. Philibert Selorm Fummey, in collaboration with the Municipal Director of the Ghana Education Service (GES), paid a working visit to selected Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) centres within the municipality earlier today.
The purpose of the visit was to motivate the candidates, ensure smooth coordination of the exams, and confirm that all logistics and resources required for the successful conduct of the examination were in place.
Addressing the candidates, Hon. Fummey reflected on his own experiences as a student preparing for the BECE, recounting the mix of emotions and determination that characterized his journey. He urged the students to remain focused and confident, describing the BECE as a critical stepping stone to their future success.
“This exam is the beginning of your journey to greatness,” the MCE told the candidates. “Take it seriously, believe in yourselves, and aim to pass with flying colors. The community is proud of you and supports your success.”
In a separate interaction with invigilators and exam officials, the MCE encouraged them to uphold professionalism and fairness throughout the process. He emphasized the importance of maintaining the integrity of the examination, calling on them to be firm yet free of intimidation, and to help create a disciplined and supportive environment for the students.
The visit forms part of the Assembly’s commitment to supporting quality education and promoting excellence among basic school pupils across the municipality.
