NSAWAM ADOAGYIRI MUNICIPAL ASSEMBLY TO HOLD SOD-CUTTING CEREMONY FOR 24-HOUR ECONOMY MARKET AT DOBORO

The Nsawam-Adoagyiri Municipal Assembly is set to hold a sod-cutting ceremony for the commencement of the construction of the proposed 24-Hour Economy Market at Doboro on Tuesday, 2nd June 2026.

The project forms part of Government’s flagship 24-Hour Economy initiative aimed at promoting continuous economic activity, creating sustainable employment opportunities, empowering the youth and strengthening local businesses across the country.

The ceremony is expected to be attended by His Excellency John Dramani Mahama, alongside other distinguished dignitaries including Hon. Ahmed Ibrahim, Hon. Rita Akosua Adjei Awatey, and Hon. Philibert Selorm Fumey.

The proposed modern market infrastructure is expected to serve as a major commercial hub within the municipality, providing an enabling environment for 24-hour trading and economic activities. Upon completion, the facility will support local commerce, improve trading conditions, and contribute significantly to socio-economic development within the municipality and the Eastern Region at large.

Speaking ahead of the event, Hon. Philibert Selorm Fumey reaffirmed the Assembly’s commitment to initiatives that promote inclusive development, economic growth, and improved livelihoods for residents across the municipality.
