NSAWAM ADOAGYIRI MUNICIPAL ASSEMBLY LAUNCHES PFJ 2.0 SENSITIZATION AND FARMER REGISTRATION IN NYAMEBEKYERE AND PANPASO COMMUNITIES

The Agriculture Department of the Nsawam-Adoagyiri Municipal Assembly has launched a major sensitization and registration campaign to get local farmers involved in the second phase of the “Planting for Food and Jobs” (PFJ) initiative. On March 11, 2024, farmers from Nyamebekyere and the Panpaso operational area gathered to learn about the benefits of PFJ 2.0 and register on the spot.

The program aims to enhance agricultural productivity, generate employment, and improve food security in the region. During the event, farmers were educated on the various incentives, resources, and technical support available to them under the initiative. Following the information session, officials helped farmers complete their registrations, ensuring that they were signed up and ready to participate.

“The goal is to ensure that no farmer is left behind,” said a representative from the Agriculture Department. “We want the people of Nyamebekyere and Panpaso to fully benefit from this transformative program, which will strengthen the agricultural sector and provide sustainable livelihoods.”

The registration drive will continue across the Nsawam-Adoagyiri municipality, as officials work to reach every farmer, equipping them with the tools to thrive under the PFJ 2.0 initiative.
