NSAWAM ADOAGYIRI MUSEC ENGAGES TRADITIONAL LEADERS TO RESTORE PEACE IN ZONGO AND ADOAGYIRI

In a decisive step towards promoting peace and unity, the Municipal Security Council (MUSEC), chaired by the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) of Nsawam Adoagyiri, Hon. Philibert Selorm Fummey, held a peace dialogue with traditional leaders from the Zongo and Adoagyiri communities.

Present in the meeting was the Municipal Coordinating Director (MCD), the Ghana Police Service, Ghana Fire Service, Ghana Immigration Service and Ghana Prisons Service. The engagement was convened to calm tensions and lay down a clear framework to prevent the recurrence of any conflict within the Adoagyiri and Zongo enclaves. It provided an opportunity for dialogue, reconciliation and mutual understanding between the leadership of the two communities.

Speaking at the meeting, Hon. Fummey emphasized the need for collective commitment to peace, noting that without unity, sustainable development cannot be achieved. “Peace is the bedrock of development. My administration is fully committed to ensuring harmony and the safety of every resident in Nsawam Adoagyiri,” he stated.

The traditional leaders present pledged their full support to the peace process and expressed a shared desire to promote coexistence, unity, and lasting stability within their respective communities.

The meeting concluded with a renewed commitment from all parties to work collaboratively, maintain open lines of communication, and encourage peaceful conflict resolution going forward.

This intervention forms part of the Assembly’s broader strategy to strengthen community relations and ensure security across all areas of the municipality.
