In a major boost to youth empowerment and technical skill acquisition, the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) of the Nsawam Adoagyiri Municipal Assembly, Hon. Fummey Philibert Amenorpe (Selorm), on Friday, 13th February 2026, presented a wide range of vocational equipment to trainers and trainees under the National Apprenticeship Program.
The event, which took place at the NAMA Assembly Hall, saw the distribution of sewing machines, knitting machines, industrial hair dryers, and various other essential training tools designed to enhance the quality of vocational education within the municipality.
Addressing the beneficiaries, Hon. Fummey Philibert Amenorpe (Selorm) challenged both trainers and trainees to approach the National Apprenticeship Program with the utmost seriousness. He urged the trainees to maximize the opportunities provided to them to build sustainable livelihoods.
During the presentation, the MCE advised the trainers to strictly adhere to the program’s core mandate by delivering high-standard technical skills to their apprentices. He further encouraged the trainees to exhibit humility, respect, and passion in their learning journey, noting that discipline is key to mastering any craft.
Hon. Fummey Philibert Amenorpe (Selorm) expressed his hearty gratitude to H.E. President John Dramani Mahama for fulfilling his mandate of advancing skill-based training for the youth. He emphasized that these decisive steps are critical to addressing youth unemployment and fostering economic independence across the country.
