On the 15th of March 2022, the MCE for Nsawam Adoagyiri who’s the person of Hon. Isaac Kwadwo Buabeng together with Mrs. Christiana Tamakloe who’s the Head of social welfare and some other dignitaries met with people leaving with disabilities and physical challenges in a short ceremony organized at the NAMA premises.
The objective of the program was to train people leaving with disabilities and physical challenges to acquire certain soft skills (preparation of liquid soap and powder) in other to make a living out of it and also hand over items which was acquired by the government for people leaving with disabilities and physical challenges in other to give them a booster in starting a small medium enterprise.
The MCE in a speech urged them to make good use of the items which will be giving to them and also ensure to make use of the skills which will be acquired during the program gain additional income together with the items given.
Madam Christiana through his speech spoke about how the items were being distributed among the blind, deaf and dumb as well as persons with physical challenges. She then advised they do their best to make good use of these items in order to gain more income which will help cater for their families, save up and use the rest to restock the business.
Shortly thereafter, the training took place followed by handover of equipment and items.
A team from the Nsawam Adoagyiri Municipal health was present at the program to vaccinate people leaving with disabilities and those who are physically challenged and are yet to be vaccinated for the covid-19.
