NSAWAM ADOAGYIRI MUNICIPAL ASSEMBLY DESTROYS SEIZED EXPIRED MARKET PRODUCTS

On March 27, 2024, the Environmental Health Department of the Nsawam Adoagyiri Municipal Assembly successfully destroyed expired market products confiscated during operations in December 2023 and February 2024.

The exercise, which aimed to safeguard public health, was conducted under the supervision of key stakeholders, including representatives from UTV, CTV, TV3, Onua TV, Oyerepa TV, Promise TV, Adom FM, and Fawe FM. Other attendees included officials from NADMO, the Police, the Court, the Director of the Information Service Department, National Security Officers, and the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).

Prominent figures such as the Honorable Presiding Member, Honorable Josephine Bediako, and members of the local community also witnessed the event. Some of the individuals whose expired products had been seized were present as well.

The destruction process began at 9:35 a.m. and concluded at 2:05 p.m., marking the completion of a significant public health initiative by the Assembly.

This effort underscores the Assembly’s commitment to maintaining high standards of public safety and hygiene within the municipality.
