On June 13, 2024, the Agriculture Department of the Nsawam Adoagyiri Municipal Assembly continued its sensitization and registration campaign for the second phase of the “Planting for Food and Jobs” (PFJ) initiative, this time in the community of Otukwadjo.
The event aimed to inform local farmers about the benefits of PFJ 2.0 and encourage them to register for the program. The initiative, designed to enhance agricultural productivity, create job opportunities, and improve food security in the region, was introduced to the Otukwadjo community through detailed presentations and discussions.
Farmers received information on the various incentives, resources, and technical support available under PFJ 2.0. Officials assisted attendees with on-the-spot registration, ensuring they were fully enrolled and prepared to participate in the program.
“The goal is to ensure that every farmer in Otukwadjo benefits from PFJ 2.0,” said a representative from the Agriculture Department. “We are committed to supporting our local farmers and helping them take full advantage of this initiative to improve their productivity and livelihoods.”
The registration drive will continue across the Nsawam Adoagyiri municipality, with the department reaching out to more communities to ensure broad participation in the PFJ 2.0 program.
