Members of the Nsawam Adoagyiri Zonal Council held a meeting on Tuesday the. 14th September 2021 to deliberate and discuss various issues in their communities and how they as a council will be able to find lasting solutions to those issues in order to bring development to the communities.
Present at the meeting were Hon. Amos Akonnor (Chairman), Mr Jeremiah Amoafo-Agyekum (MCD), Mrs. Doreen Buobu (Assistant Director IIA), among other staff of the Municipal Assembly and Also Assemblymen who form part of the Zonal Council.
The main agenda for the day was to discuss and approve a budget for the Zonal Council and also to deliberate on the fee fixing that will help generate revenue for the council. The MCD in addressing the members spoke about ways through which the Zonal Council can collect revenue from professionals such as artisans and undertakers. He also demonstrated an IT based system developed by the MIS Unit that will help them to take revenue from hawkers, by issuing them ID cards with QR Codes that will serve as license for the hawkers to operate.
