On March 20, 2023, the Commissioning and Handing-Over ceremony of a ten (10) seater toilet facility at Ankwane Dobro Basic School took place. Prior to the facility’s construction, the school and community faced a major challenge of not having a toilet facility. Fortunately, the Member of Parliament for Nsawam Adoagyiri Constituency, Hon. Frank Annoh-Dompreh, intervened and made the project possible.

In attendance at the ceremony were the Hon. Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Isaac Kwadjo Buabeng, the Member of Parliament for Nsawam Adoagyiri Constituency, the Municipal Director of Education, the Chief of Ankwane Dobro, the Assembly Member for Yaw Adipa/Asiyaw, the Contractor (Obenakot Company LTD), as well as members of Ankwane Dobro community and the media.

During the ceremony, the Director of Education commended the Member of Parliament for his good works in the municipality and urged the school authorities and the community to maintain the facility well to ensure it serves them for a long time. The Municipal Chief Executive also lauded the facility’s completion and urged the community to handle it properly. The Member of Parliament stated that he was prompted to construct the facility when he visited the school some months ago and found out that the school lacked a toilet facility. He expressed his appreciation to the contractor for the swift completion of the facility and to the Chiefs and people of Ankwane Dobro for their patience. He further stated that more facilities would be constructed and pleaded with the authorities to manage the facility well to serve the school and community.

Finally, the Headmaster of the school presented a citation of honour to the Member of Parliament on behalf of the school, expressing his appreciation for keeping his promise. The Municipal Chief Executive and the Member of Parliament then handed over the keys to the facility to the Chiefs and school authorities and urged them to put the facility to good use to serve its purpose.
